Earth (or Terra) is the third planet in the Sol System. It is the Capital world of the United Federation of Planets.
Mostly harmless.
History
Earth achieved warp capability, and made first contact with another starfaring race on 5th April, 2063. Humanity was united by this knowledge, and began constructing vessels to explore the vastness of space. In 2156, the Romulan Star Empire declared war on Earth, a bloody conflict which lasted 4 years. The formation of the Romulan Neutral Zone was a direct result of this conflict. In 2161, Earth became a charter member and the capital of the United Federation of Planets. Earth is a peaceful socialist utopia.
