Erei'Riov

erei'Riov is a senior line rank of the Rihannsu Galae. Officers holding this rank are generally executive officers or, more rarely, department heads, and may even command smaller vessels.

They have a great deal of experience and have proven their capability to command in numerous situations.

There is no limit as to how long an officer can remain in this position, but it is considered fast if an erei'Riov is promoted to Riov in five years or less. Most erei'Riovir are eventually granted commands of their own, however. After all, the Empire has invested a great deal in them already and wants a return on that investment at one point.
