The Klingon rank pins are typically found on the bracers or gauntlets of the warrior.
Translations are generalized and provided for understanding purposes only. The Klingon chain-of-command does not map neatly onto that of Starfleet.
Certain political ranks do not necessarily supercede the authority of the above military ranks. In many cases, the officer will have both a military rank and a political office. Nor is obtaining one of these offices a sure step toward a seat on the High Council.
