Madrasad

The Madrasad is led by the Cardassian Central Command and consists of nine orders. The first eight orders operate as military navy and assault troops, with the ninth one being a special branch, and described below. The military orders of Madrasad are assigned starbases, starships and military installations. Jobs within them range from military command to assault, and variety exists between various disciplines - piloting, tactical, security, science, engineering, etc.

The ruling body of Madrasad is the Central Command. When the military is in power of the Cardassian Union, the Central Command presides over the government. At all times, however, the Central Command leads Madrasad and oversees all the operations of all nine orders. It is composed on the seniormost Cardassian military officers, and after serving as a leader of an order (any of the nine), an officer may be promoted into the ranks of the Central Command.
