January 08, 2371	Romulan officer Dhael’vnau t’Llhaenn challenges Shra’Hawk la'quv to an honor battle during his ascession to the role of Qang of the Klingon High Council. After a pitched battle where she seemed to have the upper hand, the Fleet Admiral managed to get in a lucky blow and incapacitate her, ending the incident. The Romulan delegation was expelled from the planet immediately.
January 15, 2371	PanHelles Interstellar Holdings Corporation CEO Jonathan Horimoto arrested after he opens fire in a Unican bank on a man he accused of kidnapping his daughter.
March 25, 2371	The ChR Thraiin attacked the USS Hood in an attempt to capture it during a diplomatic meeting, forcing it to eject its warp core. Two Klingon B’rel class birds of prey, one Vor’cha class attack cruiser, and the USS Sovereign arrived to assist, the Sovereign and B’rel’s taking heavy damage before the Thraiin was subdued. The Thraiin was actually able to escape after the OSC Oxis, a stolen Galaxy class starship, intervened long enough for the Thraiin to make necessary repairs to its engines. The Oxis captured a number of officers on board the Thraiin, including but not limited to Admiral loS , Fleet Admiral Toq’mar, and Riov Vrihtaev tr’Khnialmnae, dropping them off at remote planet Krellix Sigma III. They were eventually picked up by a trader working for the Confederate Trade Group (CTG) and delivered to V’ranthi, where they were then moved to ch’Rihan. loS and Toq’mar were later able to escape Romulan custody.
March 28, 2371	The Klingon Empire officially begins mobilizing its forces against the Cardassian Union after a skirmish between a bird of prey and a Galor class warship.
March 29, 2371	The USS Sovereign was destroyed by Romulan forces after it invaded RSE space in an ill-advised and unsanction attempt to obtain the Klingon prisoners Toq’mar and loS.
March 30, 2371	The Cardassian Union apologizes for the incident, claiming that the ship had been stolen and used without permission of the government.
April 06, 2371	The Romulan government reveals that it is in possession of the Emperor Kahless, which it is holding prisoner. Millions of Klingons take to the streets to demonstrate in protest and people clamor for war.
April 07, 2371	The IKS batlh (K’vort) is sent to investigate a suspicious freighter in the neutral zone. It begins towing the vessel, at which point the ChR Thraiin (d’deridex) intervenes, destroying the batlh and recapturing the shuttle. At this point, the IKS Negh’var arrives and destroys the shuttle. Tensions between the KE and RSE increase.
April 18, 2371	Two Cardassian Galor class warships destroy the IKS jey’nas (Vor’cha) near the KE border with the KE-RSE neutral zone. The Klingon begins moving its forces to attack positions.
April 19, 2371	The United Federation of Planets declares war on the Cardassian Union.
April 20, 2371	The Klingon Empire declares war on the Cardassian Union.
April 22, 2371	The Tholian Assembly reiterates that it will not join into offensive actions, but will act to defend Romulan assets if the Romulans are drawn into the conflict.
April 25, 2371	The Ferengi Alliance makes an announcement affirming its neutrality and its commitment to continue business with all parties.
May 12, 2371	A Klingon fleet led by loS la'quv attacks the Cardassian Union at its Bajoran stronghold. The Cardassians are victorious, and the Klingons retreat, but are immediately reinforced by a Federation fleet led by James Maxwell. The Federation is successful in driving the Cardassians back, but then the Romulans, led by Riov Vrihtaev tr’Khnialmnae, arrive with a fleet to reinforce the Cardassians. The Klingon and Cardassian fleets are both decimated, and the Romulan and Federation fleets withdraw.
May 19, 2371	A Romulan fleet, again led by Riov Vrihtaev tr’Khnialmnae, attacks the Klingon planet of boreH. The religiously signifigant planet is laid waste, but no ground forces are placed on the planet. The Romulan fleet, massively outnumbered once Klingon ships caught up with it, inflicts enormous losses on the Klingon forces before being destroyed, granting the Klingons a pyhrric victory at best..
May 27, 2371	A Cardassian invasion force, attempting to capture Betazed, is annihilated by a Federation force led by James Maxwell.
June 11, 2371	A combined Klingon-Federation force, led by Fleet Admiral loS, destroys a large portion of the Cardassian Fleet near Terok Nor. The forces retreat after the Cardassian Union threatens to vent the atmosphere of the station. This is a tactic that will be used by the Cardassians again later.
July 03, 2371	Captain Gabriel, CO of the USS Hood, goes mad and is eventually found on Hellesport.
July 06, 2371	Toq’mar is crowned Emperor of the Klingon Empire after he appears to be raised from the dead at the planet boreH after his death in battle.
July 21, 2371	Federation President Sanuk makes a personal appeal for peace talks. His popularity at this point is fading due to perceived mistakes in his running of the UFP-CU war.
August 04, 2371	The Romulan Empire agrees to hold talks with the Federation to form a more official relationship.
August 18, 2371	The United Federation of Planets begins deployment of its final design specifications for the Sovereign Class Project, commissioned as USS Sovereign NX-73811. The new design is far more successful than previous incarnations and full production begins.
September 03, 2371	A Klingon B’rel makes a suicide run into a hospital in Ra’tleihfi, the capital city of ch'Rihan, sparking a war between the KE and RSE. The ship was piloted by Emperor Toq’mar, and forcibly rammed the building, destroying itself and multiple blocks of the city in the process.
September 12, 2371	James Maxwell announces his candidacy for President of the United Federation of Planets. He runs on a platform promising to restore "sensibility, efficiency, and a state where we don't take crap from anybody" to the Federation.
September 15, 2371	Tholian ships begin making assault runs on Federation colonies near Tholian space.
October 12, 2371	The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D is destroyed at [[[Veridian III]]].
November 28, 2371	Federation President Sanuk discontinues his reelection campaign for the Federation Presidency. Sar’v’klo Alexander announces his candidacy for the position in response.
December 13, 2371	A Romulan fleet seizes control of the Klingon mining planet of qo’beH, marking the first successful invasion of Klingon space in over a century.
December 18, 2371	Federation forces beat back a Tholian assault team attacking the same colonies. Tholian incursions cease.
