TEMPORAL ANOMALY

This article is a temporal anomaly; The chronology of the depicted events in the Holotrek timeline are in dispute due to continuity error or misrecording and may be subject to retroactive continuity changes.

Holotrek's history is quite convoluted, departing from the "true" Star Trek canon around the time of the first season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. As events took place in the Holotrek universe in real-time parallel to the depiction of events in the television show, there are many divergences between our timeline and what we have seen on TV. Some canon events, such as the Dominion War, did not play out exactly as portrayed in the television show. However, widely recognized canon events, assumed to have concluded exactly as portrayed in Star Trek history, have been included into Holotrek's timeline as a frame of reference, and will appear in bold text.
Standard Holotrek abbreviations are used throughout the Timeline (e.g. Galactic Defense Militia (GDM), Klingon Empire (KE), Romulan Star Empire (RSE), United Federation of Planets (UFP), etc).
